Chestnut blossoms once bloomed in your eyes;

Haunting my soul and
Shadowing every facet of my life with regret.
Your translucent face strikes memories of
Aching pain.
I am reminiscent, yet it all seems distant;
I can hardly recall how I ever trusted you.
I still remember the way
You left when I truly needed someone.
We promised to love and be trusted,
But I watched our oaths
Wrench apart and wither away to nothing.
I cried with each forlorn, frazzled night,
Drowning in sorrow as
Tenseness slowly choked my corpse.
A chasm of distance split us apart,
But we have already bid each other
Our final farewells.
Fragile The tide crashes upon my toes and soaks the bank with a stained wetness. I have tried to sigh away my self-contempt on this desolate shore, but my mind keeps revisiting these thoughts. A small cluster of age-weathered stones lay nearby my frozen, curled toes. One by one, I kick them in with a silent splash, leaving not even a ripple in the ebb and flow of the ocean's movement.Fragile by ~JaniceLatrop
They lay there, under the gleaming blue, and I cannot help but feel slightly sickened at the ocean's free flow. Neither a fish nor a boat nor a shoreline could ever begin to change the it's immovable will; it runs strong and forms new paths, never submitting.

The blossoms watched, perched lush and alive.
I threw our memories down the rows,
One draped upon each falling petal,
And beckoned the mother and groom forth.
Surely not the bride and groom,
For I loved her as solely my mother.
Until I found that our love had waned.
My pleasant memories laced into the petals
And withered into an obscure resentment.
The relationship faded and fixed a void unto me.
I will never know what may have happened
With only us and without him.
These petite blossoms further
Crumble with each slight touch;
One harsh squeeze could turn them to dust.
